Each StudyChime Premium profile contains both its filters and its alert schedule. Selecting Save & activate profile applies the two together.
Open schedule settings
- Open StudyChime Settings.
- Open Filters & schedule.
- Choose the profile you want to edit.
- Enable Only alert during selected times.
- Configure its days and time windows.
- Select Save & activate profile.
If the schedule is off, that profile does not restrict alerts by time.
Schedule tools
Schedules support:
- Weekdays 09:00–17:00 and Weekends 09:00–17:00 shortcuts
- Copy Monday to weekdays to reuse Monday’s windows from Monday to Friday
- multiple alert windows on the same day
- the active local timezone
- a Next active… summary showing the next configured alert window
- Next active window in the snooze controls
- a local estimate of how much previously observed matched-study history the proposed schedule would have covered, with sample-size context
StudyChime validates the schedule before saving. Windows with identical start and end times, invalid times, or overlapping periods must be corrected first.
The coverage preview uses existing anonymised Trends records stored locally for up to one year. It sends no schedule or study data to StudyChime and creates no new history. Treat it as a planning aid rather than a guarantee, because earlier matches may have been recorded under different profiles and small samples are less reliable.
How schedules affect monitoring
Inside a scheduled window, StudyChime can alert for studies that pass the active profile’s filters. Outside it, alert delivery waits until a permitted window.
Monitoring remains connected while scheduled alerts are paused. Use Check for studies to confirm that the open Prolific page can still be read; a paused alert schedule does not mean monitoring has stopped.
You can also snooze alerts until the next scheduled window from Overview when a future window exists.
Profiles keep timing and matching together
Switching profiles changes both the match rules and schedule. For example, one profile could allow short studies on weekday mornings, while another allows anything available during the weekend.
Changes are not applied until you select Save & activate profile.
Important limitations
Schedules only control when alerts may be sent. They do not reserve, accept, complete, or submit studies, change Prolific’s availability rules, or guarantee that a study will remain available.
